Garnet

A generic name for an important group of minerals, each of which has a specific name according to its appearance and colour. Garnet is therefore a family of stones of various colours. However, the term "garnet" refers to the best known red garnets. Red as an ember, purplish red, the traditional colour of the garnet stone is rather dark red. The name of this stone comes from the Latin granus, which means grain, because of the rounded appearance of the rough stones and its colour, which is similar to that of a pomegranate. It is believed to have energetic properties. It is said to increase self-confidence and perseverance.
