Hematite is one of the few stones with a metallic luster. The colour of this opaque stone varies from black, silver-grey to reddish brown. However, haematite takes its name from the Greek word aima, which means blood, referring to its red colour when ground to powder. It is therefore also used as a red pigment. We have some very nice pieces among our ethnic bracelets. It is a stone that soothes and relaxes.
